Christmas Cookies...

I made some Christmas cutout cookies.....omg, so yummy!

Recipe for Sugar Cookies:
Sift together:  6 c. sifted flour
                       2 tsp. baking powder
                       2 tsp. salt
                       2 tsp. baking soda
                       2 c. sugar
Cut in:           2 c. shortening (til mixture resembles a course meal)
                      (I use butter flavored Crisco)
Blend in:       4 eggs
                      ½ c. milk
                      4 tsp. vanilla
Roll Out:       on floured board to 1/8" thickness.  Cut with cookie cutters.
                      Bake at 400º for 6 - 8 minutes.
This recipe does not say you have to chill dough before rolling out,
but I always do.  It makes it a lot easier to handle.

Making excuses!

I've been busy making Christmas cards but unfortunately I can not post them before Christmas because they are orders.  Don't want to spoil the fun by showing the cards.  Anyway, I only have done a few orders.  My shoulder has been bothering me so I haven't been making too many cards or doing much else for that matter.  Have been going to physical therapy but it doesn't seem to be helping.  Christmas is fast approaching and there are so many things to get done.  Don't know how much more I will be posting before Christmas but after Christmas I plan to do a better job of blogging.

Suggestions

I have been asked to give a supply list for the cards that I post.  I have no problem doing this if I can remember.  I did update the last two posts with a supplies list.  If anyone has any more suggestions please write a comment and I will see what I can do to accomodate.  Thanks for visiting my blog.

Birthday Card

Here's another Birthday card.  I wanted to make a card that was all just red and white.  Here is the outcome.  Enjoy!

Supplies used....Sunshine Impression plate from Papertrey Ink,  digi stamp "Molly" by Lori Boyd,  flowers cut from "Wild Card" cricut cartridge.  The leaves for flowers is a Martha Stewart punch, the red flower border and flower center is from an EK success punch and the white border is from a Fiskers punch.  Also used brads, copic markers and a spellbinder die for the oval. Paper is from Stampin' Up....cherry cobbler.

Christmas Card

I made this card last Christmas, but it is so cute I decided I had to put it on my blog.  Now, I did "lift" this card from someone else, but I can't think of who it was for the life of me!  I've been looking and looking all day today and still haven't found where I got it from.  So, if you know where I got it from, please send me a message because I would like to give credit where credit is due.  I did change up the card a little, but not much.  Enjoy!

The stamp is from Papertrey Ink......Signature Christmas.   The snowman is from Christmas Cheer cricut cartridge.

One of my favorites......

Here is one of my favorite cards.  It is also the only one I have ever sewn on.  Boy, that was a pain in the tuchess! (is that even a word?)  lol.  I like the bright colors on it and I like the coffee.....mmmmmm!  Enjoy!

Talking to myself....

Well, it certainly looks like I don't have a whole lot of things to say.  But, I expected that.  You see, I have not been given the gift of gab!  Soooooo........maybe I will just continue to post pictures of the cards that I make or maybe I will just take this blog down.  I sure wish I found things more interesting to talk about.  In the mean time, enjoy the scenery.
