Another Birthday Card

This cased this card from Alisa Tilsner.  She is an independent Stampin' Up demonstrator in Australia.  Almost all Stampin' Up products were used.  Stamp sets Flourishing Phrases, Gorgeous Grunge and Rose Wonder were used.  Fresh Fig, Smokey Slate and Sweet Sugarplum are the colors.  Stitched shapes framelits and flourish thinlits were the dies used.  I did use one die that is not Stampin' Up, and that was the stitched rectangle die from My Favorite Things.  The sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh, marshmallow.

Wetlands Birthday Card

I made this card using Stampin' Ups "Wetlands" stamp set and "Gorgeous Grunge".  I figured it was good for a masculine birthday card.   I used SU "Guy Greetings" for the sentiment.  Whisper white and soft suede cardstock and ink.  Really simple to make.

Happy Birthday Card

It's a good day for another card, don't you think?  I made this one with Gina K Designs stamp set Frame and Flowers 2 and the coordinating dies.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Ups Rose Wonder stamp set.  I also used Gorgeous Grunge stamp set from SU.  I used Whisper White and Smokey Slate cardstock from Stampin' Up.  Gosh, I don't remember what die set I used for the sprigs, sorry.  And of course Nuvo drops.  Ink colors were Smokey Slate and Rose Red from SU.  Hope you like it.....I do.

Another card coming soon!

March 2018 Paper Pumpkin

Good Morning September 9, 2018...... Long time no see!!  Well here I am again, going to post another picture.  Funny how time flies when nothing is happening.  I've been making a few cards and will be posting them.  Enjoy!

I made this card using Stampin' Ups March Paper Pumpkin kit.   It is an alternative to what the instructions are.  Everything used is Stampin' Up products except the Nuvo drops for the little embellishments.  The ribbon is an old 1/4" white grosgrain that I colored Daffodil Delight with re inkers and water.  I used the new Subtle embossing folder for the blush blossom background mat.  It gives it just enough texture to make the card interesting.

Three years later....

Omg, I can't believe three years have gone by and I haven't posted a thing.  Yes, I have made a few cards but not as many as I should have.  Of course you know that I will not remember what I used for the card making supplies and I still haven't learned how to post one of those little picture icons.  Oh well, time marches on!

I'm sure all the paper is from Stampin' Up.  The polka dot background stamp is from Papertrey Ink and the flower and leaves is from Stampin' Up.

Shhhhh...........

I bought a Cricut Explore about 3 weeks ago, hoping it would help me get motivated and make more cards.  Well........it's still in the box!  Haven't even opened it yet!  What the heck is wrong with me??  As soon as I am done with this post I am going to my craft room and I'm going to open that box up and check it out!!  Oh.... please don't mention this post to my husband because he doesn't know I got this!!

Christmas

I made this Christmas card with cherry cobbler and whisper white cardstock from SU.  I used an embossing folder that I think is called Ivy.  The pointsettia is a die from (let me think)............I don't remember, sorry.  Lol, this sure helps a lot, doesn't it.  But I do remember the die itself is blue in color!!  Before you know it the holidays will be upon us.  I need to make more!

Congratulations Graduate!

I made this card for a great nephew of mine.  He graduated from high school.  I used an embossing plate from Papertrey Ink for the circle background and a very old stamp set.  I don't even know who it was from.  I had some metal alphabet letters left over from another project and just happened to have the right letters for his name.  His school colors were black and red.  Hope you like it.

Baby Shower

Here is a card I made for my daughter's baby shower.  I believe I used the "Sugar and Spice" Cricut cartridge for the pea pod.  Stamped the background heart and used a heart embossing folder for the background.  Used a coral color cardstock from Stampin Up.

Love and Sympathy

I made a sympathy card using the love and sympathy stamp set from Stampin Up.  I also used the honeycomb embossing folder and cajun craze for the color.  Gosh, I believe the flowers were from another Stampin Up set but I can't remember which one.  That is what happens when I wait too long to post something.  I can't remember what I used.  Sorry!  Anyway, here is the card.  Hope you like it.

OMG...it's June!

Well, here it is......June 2014.  And the middle of June too!!  I have made a few cards but for some reason have not posted them.  I know....that sucks!!  Life has been full of adventures lately that have kept me really busy.  But please stay tuned and you just might find something you like.  :)

Can you believe it????

It's February 1st already!!!

Well, I have been making cards but few and far between.  Just haven't had much motivation.  If anyone out in the blogging world knows how to get your motivation back, I would be greatly appreciative if you could share the secret.
Here is my latest card. It's a sympathy card with a pink rose....but the rose sticks out so far it would be hard to mail.  I like it anyway!

The rose was made with the Art Philosophy cartridge at 3".  The leaves are from the Give a Hoot cartridge at 1".

Thank You

I made this Thank you card using Papertrey Ink's Leaf Prints stamp set and matching dies.  I used a Stampin' Up punch for the sentiment and Cricut cartridge Elegant Edges for the background shape.  I used Stampin' Up cardstock for the leaves and acorn.  Oh ya, the acorn was made from the Art Philosophy cartridge.  The patterned paper is from.....hhhmmmm, I don't remember.  But most of my patterned paper is either from Stampin' Up or DCWV.  I think it was DCWV.  I inked the edges of the leaves with Tim Holtz distress ink Walnut Stain.  Sure hope you like it, 'cause I do!

Back to Blogging.....maybe

Trying to do a better job of blogging.  Hopefully I can post something a couple times a week.  Also, I think I need to figure out how to take better pictures of my cards or anything else I post.  I'm babysitting my beautiful granddaughter again during the day and she is keeping me busy!  My shoulder is all healed up and we are back to using it with no restrictions....yay!  Hhhhmmmm....not much else to say.....have a great day!!

Cinnamon Apple Cake

I made a cake the other day and it lasted for less than 24 hours......it must have been good!!  I found the recipe on Pinterest.  Thought I would share the recipe and a picture of course......it was yummy!

1  3/4 cups sugar, divided
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 tsp. vanilla extract
6 ounces cream cheese, softened (about 3/4 cup)
2 large eggs
1  1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1  1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
3 cups chopped, peeled apple  (about 2 large)  (I used Macintosh)
Cooking spray

Preheat oven to 350°
Beat 1½ cups sugar, butter, vanilla and cream cheese at medium speed of a mixer until well blended (about 4 minutes).  Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well after each addition.  Combine flour, baking powder and salt.   Add flour mixture to creamed mixture, beating at low speed until blended.

Combine ¼ cup sugar and cinnamon.  Combine 2 tablespoons of cinnamon mixture and apple in a bowl, then stir apple mixture into batter.  Pour batter into a 9-inch springform pan coated with cooking spray.  Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon sugar mixture.

Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until cake pulls away from the sides of pan.  Cool cake completely on a wire rack and cut using a serrated knife.  Enjoy!
